Curly Flat Pinot Noir 2008

Full ruby, with transparency. Sparkling, bright and lively

A generous, complex and seductive bouquet, showing strong aromatics. There are both red and black fruits – red and black cherry, plums. Lots of secondary characters – dried flowers, chocolate, some white pepper and other spices; earthy, toasty oak, hint of tobacco and cigar box.

Speaks of Pinot Noir and place. Medium plus palate weight, with dancing acidity, lots of fine powdery tannins and savoury fruit. The complexity of the bouquet flows through into the palate, supported by integrated oak, to give a long, lingering finish.

Drinking well now and till around 2018. We'll keep you posted!

Bright, deep crimson; a pinot with everything where it should be, even the early picking/low alcohol; this has enhanced the fragrance of the wine without sacrificing ripe fruit flavours on the elegant, light bodied palate. 95 Points
