Ruby/Garnet with medium depth. Transparent, but with some hint of the non filtration regime.
Generous, and already developing complexity, with layers of red and black fruits; herbal, earthy, forest floor tones; leather, five spice and cigar box; subtle oak.
Medium to muscular body, with complexity of the bouquet showing through; velvety mouth feel with lots of fine ripe tannins; solid acidity, balanced with ample juicy primary fruit. Seamless line and length, with long, chewy finish.
A young but already complex, layered, textured Pinot Noir that will build further complexity with time in bottle. Generous fruit allows for early drinking, but this wine will age for many years, probably peaking around 2016.
100% French Oak. 22 Months on lees. No fining or filtration.
