Curly Flat Pinot Noir 2006

APPEARANCE
Bright ruby with peripherals hints of tan.

BOUQUET
An expansive, complex nose opens the scene, with scents both dark and bright flying like sparks from a wheel. Secondary characters abound with smoky cold cut meats merging with dusty earth and leather with integrated oak characters of tobacco and char.

PALATE
LWith silken texture, resinous plum and black cherry partner in a graceful flow with the dancing acid thread. With mouth filling texture and direction that encompasses the length and breadth of the palate that ultimately leads to a lingering flourish we can only describe as the peacocks tail.

CELLARING SUGGESTIONS
A seductive balance of fruit purity and natural acidity described from the outset as the iron fist in the velvet glove. Age has seen it become a wiser hand in the glove, firm without ever being forceful. Drinking well now, this wine will continue developing for a few years yet, potentially peaking around 2018.
